The "CHIP Updater" is an update manager released by the German PC magazine Chip.
This is the application "UpdateYeti" (from Abelssoft) with just an exchanged logo (instead of the "UpdateYeti" logo users see the "Chip" logo).
UpdateYeti itself reports only some available updates and does not detect the installed software correctly, so you better use Software Informer!
